6.2 Mi-Wi Peer-to-Peer and Star

  • For the application scenario, increase the interval for sending the periodic P2P data request (RFD_WAKEUP_INTERVAL) to the maximum possible value. This can have a direct impact on the power consumption as the major contribution of power consumption in a sleeping device’s lifecycle is data request transmissions. The trade-off of increasing the RFD_WAKEUP_INTERVAL is increase in latency to reach the sleeping device, thereby affecting the effective data throughput.
  • For Mi-Wi Star topology, optimize LINK_STATUS_TIMEOUT based on the network requirement, thereby avoiding instances of sleeping devices sending the link status too frequently.
