Introduction

The EV51H13A TS1800 Evaluation Base Board is intended as a demonstration, development and testing platform for Real-Time Platform Root of Trust applications in data centers, telecommunications, networking, industrial and embedded computing markets. The EV51H13A board has a simplified set of configurable jumpers and SPI Flash memory sockets, along with an SF100 DediProg programming interface. It supports multiple TS1800 device package options and provides a range of hardware features—including power supply options, user interface functionality, serial communications and expansion headers—to enable rapid prototyping and development of real-time platform root of trust applications. The EV51H13A supports both 3.3V and 1.8V SPI memory chips through the on-board SPI sockets.

This evaluation board is designed for use with Microchip’s Trust Platform Design Suite (TPDS), which has multiple use cases demonstrating the capabilities of the TS1800-TFLX and TS1800-TCSM devices.

  • The included TS1800 demonstration sample is intended for evaluation of the TS1800 ASIC only and is not intended for specific use case or production development.
  • Supported daughter card options include:
    • EV43N02A (100-pin socket card)
    • EV22J98A (144-pin socket card)
    Users can install either a TS1800-TFLX or TS1800-TCSM device to customize security feature configurations for their specific designs.
Important: The EV51H13A Evaluation Base Board requires a separate daughter card, which is NOT included in this kit. Order either the EV43N02A or EV22J98A daughter card based on the desired package pin count.

A USB Type-C® cable is not included.
