2.3.1 Event Generated Only the First Time in Standby Sleep Mode
When asynchronous edge detection is enabled (ASYNCH.ASYNCHn = '1') and the system is in Standby sleep mode, only the first edge will generate an event. Subsequent edges will not generate events until the system wakes up.
Work Around
Use synchronous edge detection (ASYNCH.ASYNCHn = '0') since asynchronous edge detection does not work. To reduce power consumption when using synchronous edge detection, either set the GCLK_EIC frequency as low as possible or select the OSC32K clock source (CTRLA.CKSEL = '1').
