Contact Microchip (smart-segment@microchip.com ) to obtain the demonstration project mentioned in this document and the required DALI libraries with their documentation.
The implementation of this D4i device covers controlling a D4i gear through serial or LTE communication. Further development can add another module to provide redundant communication.
DALI-2™ protocol enables control of multiple gears from the same device using addresses or broadcast.
Using the movement and ambient light sensors simultaneously ensures the optimal lighting system intensity, resulting in the best optimization of power usage.
Various MQTT topics can be used to isolate data from and to D4i devices. If multiple devices use the same MQTT server, this may help encapsulate each device and trigger less network usage.
Node-RED Dashboard can be developed to control multiple D4i control devices based on their address.
