3 API

The application programming interface (API) allow the application program written in the C high-level language to use specific diagnostic routines or function.

The APIs are separated into two groups:

• Diagnostics - Functions that are used to test for the presence of faults and return a test status.
• Safe PLIBs - Non-blocking functions used for setting up and controlling the operation of the peripherals.
