5.4.1 Power Supply

The Atmel AVR JTAGICE mkII power supply is implemented as shown in the figure below. The power switch found on the back of the JTAGICE mkII turns on both the External and USB power, an internal switch will select which power source to use. The external power supply is default selected if it provides sufficient power.

Note:

The JTAGICE mkII cannot be powered from the target application.
