1.3 Software Prerequisites

The users need to download the latest firmware and corresponding tools for the following applications. For downloading the latest firmware and corresponding tools, go to BM-71-PICtail.
  • isupdate.v4.0.0.207.rar – Firmware update tool
  • BLEDK3_v106_c2037.rar – BLEDK3 Flash code
  • IS187x_102_BLEDK3v1.06_UI1.00.zip – BLEDK3 UI tool
  • mBIoTUtility app – Available at the App Store® for iPhone and at the Google Play™ store for Android
Note:
  • Ensure that the latest firmware is written on the BM71 EVB. Verify the current firmware version and update it, for example, if the written firmware version is 1.04 but the latest version is 1.06, which to be written on the BM71 EVB. For more details, refer to 5.1 Flash Programming Procedure Using BM71 EVB.
  • Ensure the UI tool corresponds to the latest firmware version because the former version of the UI tool cannot support the latest firmware version. The UI tool corresponding to the firmware version 1.06 is IS187x_102_BLEDK3v1.06_UI1.00.
  • In this demonstration, the version in use is BLEDK3 v1.06.
