3.3.2 Power Board Visualizer

Remote monitoring and control are added through Microchip’s Power Board Visualizer software. Sensor values, state machine and fault flags can be monitored through this GUI. Control is done by means of buttons and control sliders on the PBV.

The user can extend the application by means of adding offsets, scaling factors for visualization and plotting data as time domain graphs.

The dsPIC33 has an internal CAN-FD Controller with directly connected DMA Channels. ATA6563 supports CAN-FD and communication speeds up to 5 Mbps. A standard CAN connector is used together with PEAK CAN dongle to interface with a remote PC in this case.
