9.7.4.1 I/O Lines

The pins used for interfacing the I3CC may be multiplexed with PIO lines. The programmer must first program the PIO Controller to assign the pins to their peripheral function. If I/O lines of the I3CC are not used by the application, they can be used for other purposes by the PIO Controller.

The user must not program I3CC_SCL and I3CC_SDA as open-drain. This is already done by the hardware.

When the I3CC requires the SDA line to be ‘1’ while in Open-Drain mode, it sets I3CC_SDASPUE output high to enable the SDA pull-up resistor or equivalent current source.
