Introduction

The MCP2222 GUI Utility is a desktop application developed by Microchip Technology for configuring, programming, and communicating with MCP2222 USB-to-I²C/SPI/I/O bridge devices. It provides a graphical interface for:

• Setting USB device descriptors (Vendor ID, Product ID, manufacturer name, and so on)
• Configuring I/O pin directions and functions
• Setting up I²C/SMBus and SPI peripheral parameters
• Building and sending sequences of communication packets
• Bulk-programming multiple devices with shared settings and serial number schemes
• Protecting device configurations with a password or permanent lock
