6 User Application Development
Microchip offers an evaluation kit to familiarize the user with the product's performance, along with the development environment. The Microchip UHF products are highly flexible, configurable and make it easier for a user to design an application that suits their needs.
The following steps are involved in the development of the application:
- The evaluation kit helps to explain the device functionality and setup to get the best performance.
- If the evaluation kit cannot be used for the target application, start the hardware development as the user already has some experience with the product.
- While manufacturing the prototype
PCB, the user can use this time to start the software development. For most
applications, this is enough time to have a first version of the application
software available.Note: The user can easily extend the evaluation kit to emulate the function of the target application. Therefore, users can complete the software development on the Microchip evaluation kit.
- After finishing the software and hardware development work, validate all the required functions and verify the performance is within the parameter limits.
- After completion of all these steps, the user will have developed an individual and robust, high-performance application.
