Bits 7:0 – ADDR[7:0] Address
The Client Address (TWIn.SADDR) register is used by the client address match
logic to determine if a host device has addressed the TWI client. The Address or
Stop Interrupt Flag (APIF) and the Address or Stop (AP) bit in the Client Status
(TWIn.SSTATUS) register are set to ‘1
’ if an address packet is
received.
The upper seven bits (ADDR[7:1]) of the TWIn.SADDR register represent the main client address.
The Least Significant bit (ADDR[0]) of the TWIn.SADDR register is used for the
recognition of the General Call Address (0x00) of the I2C protocol.
This feature is enabled when this bit is set to ‘1
’.
