3.4 Electric Parameters
Output Voltages
Power supply for HALL sensors and position encoders: 5V or 3.3V.
OC Threshold Ioc
The PIC32MK MCM control board triggers the OC event if the regulated DC bus current signal arrives 12AVDD. Recall that Ioc=AVDD2 ×Rbusshunt×Gbus
Where,
Rbusshunt is the shunt resistance
Gbus is the regulating circuit’s gain for the DC bus current sample signal
AVDD is the analog power supply voltage for the ADC
For the PIC32MK MCM control board, Gbus=11.111; AVDD=3.3V. With the default shunt resistance 0.025Ω, it yields Ioc=5.94A.
A bigger Ioc can be achieved by selecting a smaller shunt resistance. However in order to make sure Ioc≤Irated, the shunt resistance Rbusshunt is recommended to be not less than 0.00495Ω.
The Range of Phase Current and DC Bus Current Feedback
Recall that Iphaserange=AVDD2 ×Rphaseshunt×Gphase
Where,
Gphaseis the regulating circuit’s gain for the phase current sample signal
AVDD is the analog power supply voltage for the ADC
For the PIC32MK MCM control board, Gphase=11.111;AVDD=3.3V, with the default shunt resistance 0.025Ω, it yields Rphaserange=5.94A.
Similarly, Ibusrange=AVDD2 ×Rbusshunt×Gbus, where Gbus is the gain for the regulating circuit for the DC bus current sample signal.
For the PIC32MK MCM control board, Gbus=11.111, with the default shunt resistance 0.025Ω, it yields Ibusrange=5.94A.
