5.1 General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) on MVIO Pins
One of the most basic uses of the MVIO module is the ability for a subset of pins to have GPIO functionality on an alternative voltage domain independent of VDD, meaning that although the device may operate primarily at one voltage supplied through the VDD pin, a subset of MVIO pins can operate entirely based on the independent voltage supplied to the VDDIOx pin(s), including the ability for the MVIO pins to function as inputs and outputs with logic based on the scaled VIL/VIH and VOL/VOH voltage levels which is determined by the voltage supplied to the respective VDDIOx pins.
