6.6.1.1 -mcodecov

This option is used for Code Coverage support. Passing the option -mcodecov=near or -mcodecov=far to the compiler causes it to instrument the generated assembly-instruction blocks with information that the MPLAB X IDE can then use to perform a code coverage analysis.

As of MPLAB X IDE v6.00 and later, Code Coverage is now part of the MPLAB Analysis Tool Suite.
