10.1 Enabling Fixed-Point Arithmetic Support

Fixed-point arithmetic support is not enabled by default in the MPLAB XC-DSC C/C++ Compiler for dsPIC33C/E/F and dsPIC30 DSC; it must be explicitly enabled by the -menable-fixed compiler switch, described in the 6.7 Driver Option Descriptions section.
