1 Revision Information

The silicon revision and firmware revision cannot be determined from the markings on the device package. As part of Microchip’s security features, package markings are intentionally non-specific and do not identify the vendor (Microchip), the device (TA100), the silicon revision or the firmware revision.

To accurately determine the silicon revision, the Device Revision and/or Firmware Revision must be read using the Info command. If changes were made only to the ROM Code or silicon, reading the Device Revision alone is sufficient. The following section describes how to use the Info command to retrieve Device Revision information and explains the corresponding responses.
