3.1 Hardware Tools

Several hardware tools are available to assist with development using the TA100. Check the Microchip website for the availability of additional tools that are not mentioned here.

DM320118 – CryptoAuthentication Trust Platform

The DM320118 is a compact development system that includes an ATSAMD21E18A microcontroller, one each of the ATECC608B-TNGTLS, ATECC608B-TFLXTLS and ATECC608B-TCSTM Trust devices, a USB hub, a mikroBUS connector and an on-board debugger. The kit is designed for use with the Trust Platform Design Suite to support implementation of various use cases for the TA100 device. It can be used with either MPLAB® X IDE or Microchip Studio design environments to develop additional applications. To connect the TA100 to this kit, a mikroBUS-compatible socket board is required.

AC164167 – TA100 8-Pin SOIC Socket Board

The AC164167 TA100 SOIC socket board supports both the I2C and SPI interface versions of the TA100. Interface selection is accomplished using on-board jumpers. Prototype devices are not included with the socket board and must be obtained separately.

EV39Y17A – TA100 24-Pin VQFN Socket Board

The EV39Y17A TA100 VQFN socket board supports both I2C and SPI interfaces for the TA100 24-pin VQFN package. The board also provides access to GPIO signals. Prototype devices are not included with the socket board and must be obtained separately.
