4.4 Embedded Debugger Implementation

ATmega4809 Xplained Pro contains an Embedded Debugger (EDBG) that can be used to program and debug the ATmega4809 using the UPDI interface. The Embedded Debugger also includes a Virtual Com port interface over UART, a Data Gateway Interface over SPI, and I²C, and it includes four of the ATmega4809 GPIOs. Microchip Studio and MPLAB® X can be used as a front end for the Embedded Debugger.
