2.1 Necessary Connections to the Reference Design Board
A nominal 12V power supply should be connected to the input terminals and a high‑current DC electronic load to the output terminals, as shown in Figure 2‑1.
Verify that all onboard jumpers are set to the required hardware configuration, as specified in the table below.
| Jumper | Function | Pin Position | Configuration |
|---|---|---|---|
| J1 | Telemetry Bias VCC Input | 1-2 | Bias supply from Module 1 VCC node |
| 2-3 | Bias supply from External Supply | ||
| J2 | LDO Input (Vin) | 1-2 | LDO Input from External Supply |
| 2-3 | LDO Input from PVin (Internal) | ||
| J9 | Enable (EN) | 1-2 | EN Low |
| 2-3 | EN High |
Establish Digital Interface (Optional):
To enable PMBus™ and I2C communication with the paralleled MCPF1525M06 modules, connect an MCP2221A breakout board (available separately) to the designated telemetry header (J4).
Adjust the electronic load current as required, up to the 50A continuous operating rating.
