4 Conclusion
Many applications use digital logic functions such as gates, flip-flops, or latches to realize their end goal. The CLC peripheral allows for making these external digital logic functions on-chip, eliminating the need for additional circuitry and thus lowering the cost of the full application. In addition, the CLC allows many functions that would traditionally be done in software to be performed with a logic circuit, lowering both code and processor utilization. Microchip Technology’s suite of software development tools, particularly MCC Melody, make their inclusion into a finished application a simple task.
