Chip Erase

The 1x2 pin-header J15 labelled as “ERASE” is connected to the PIC32CXMTSH erase pin (PB2) and 3.3V. This header can be used to reinitialize the Flash content (and some of its NVM bits) to an erased state (all bits read as logic level 1) by placing a shunt (JP7) on the header, powering down and powering up the board. After a while, it is recommended that the ERASE jumper be removed. Refer to the PIC32CXMTSH Data Sheet for more information.

The ERASE status can be monitored through the TP42 test point.
