3.1.1.3 Automatic Power Switch

The switch between the two power options is controlled by four transistors in an ideal diode configuration that ensures separation between the two when both are connected. The switch prioritizes power from the wall adapter to maximize power transfer. The following figure shows the automatic power switch topology.

This is not supposed to be a functional live switch. Switching power sources during board operation, although completely safe, can result in a short power drop during transistor commutation and lead to a system reset.
