Board Layout Overview
The Offline PFC Flyback 12V/8A Evaluation Board is arranged to separate the hazardous primary-side circuitry from the low-voltage secondary-side control and output circuitry. The AC input stage, input protection components, EMI filtering, bridge rectifier, primary-side switching stage, flyback transformer, secondary rectification, output filter, and digital control circuitry are placed in functional regions across the PCB.
The evaluation board includes clearly marked connectors and test points to support laboratory evaluation and firmware development.
Major board areas include:
- AC input connector and protection circuitry
- EMI filter and bridge rectifier section
- Primary-side flyback power stage
- Flyback transformer
- Secondary-side rectification and output filtering
- 12V DC output connector
- PIC16F18326 control section
- MCP1012 primary-side control and gate-drive section
- Isolated pulse feedback interface
- PIC® kit programming connector
- Test points for debugging and waveform measurement
