1.2 USB Host Suspension May Abort Active I2C/SPI Transfers
When the USB host suspends the MCP2222 while an I2C and/or SPI transfer is in progress, the active transfer may be aborted. Upon receiving a USB Suspend signal, the device enters a low-power state and may not complete the in-progress transfer. This can result in incomplete data being written or read on the I2C or SPI bus.
Work Around
Wait until all I2C and SPI transfers are complete before allowing the USB host to enter Suspend mode. The host application should ensure that no transfers are in progress prior to initiating USB suspension.
