1.3 USB Host Suspension May Cause Last UART Byte to Not Be Transmitted
When the USB host suspends the MCP2222 while a UART transmission is in progress, the last byte of the transmission may not be transmitted. Upon receiving a USB Suspend signal, the device enters a low-power state before the final byte in the transmit buffer has been sent, resulting in that byte being lost.
Work Around
Resend the last byte after the USB host resumes. The host application should track the last byte transmitted and retransmit it following a USB resume event to ensure data integrity.
