1.1 Issuing a Set-Line-Coding Command During an Active Data Transfer Can Cause Data Corruption and/or Data Loss
Issuing a set-line-coding command while a data transfer is in progress
can cause data corruption and/or data loss. The set-line-coding
command configures serial line parameters such as baud rate, stop bits, parity, and
data bit width. If this command is received before the current data transfer has
completed, the device may apply the new configuration mid-transfer, resulting in one
or more bytes being corrupted or dropped.
Work around
Wait for all data bytes to be fully transferred before issuing a
set-line-coding command. The host application or driver should
confirm transfer completion prior to sending any line coding configuration
changes.
