1.1 MPLAB® Harmony X2Cscope

X2Cscope is a virtual oscilloscope tool developed by Linz Center of Mechatronics which allows run-time debugging or monitoring of your embedded application in MPLAB X IDE. This tool allows you to “Watch” or “Plot” any global variable in your embedded application at run-time i.e., without halting your CPU.

X2Cscope is implemented in C, therefore it can be integrated into a wide range of embedded application. We provide a prepared library (see download section) and it can be integrated to C based application seamlessly. It is using minimal resources from the target MCU. For more details refer X2Cscope.

This section briefly describes the basic steps to get started with the X2Cscope. It consists of following steps:

• Installing PC Software to communicate with X2Cscope Firmware
• Create a new MPLAB® Harmony v3 project using MCC
• Create First X2Cscope example project
