The BM83 module has received compliance approval in accordance with the Telecommunications Act of the Federal Republic of Brazil National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL). Customers seeking to use the compliance approval in their product must contact Microchip Technology Inc. sales or distribution partners to obtain a Letter of Authority.

The End product (Host) manual must include the following statement:

Esteproduto esta homologado pela ANATEL, de acordo com os procedimentos regulamentadospela Resolucao 242/2000, e atende aos requisitos tecnicos aplicados. Este product contém a placa Modelo BM83SM1 código de homologação ANATEL 06247-23-08759.
