When operating with a timer value greater than 32 bits (PIT64B_MSBPR.MSBPERIOD > 0), the PIT64B_TLSBR must be read first, followed by the read of PIT64B_TMSBR. This sequence generates an atomic read of the 64-bit timer value whatever the lapse of time between the accesses. When operating with a timer value up to 32 bits (PIT64B_MSBPR.MSBPERIOD=0), reading PIT64B_TMSBR is not required.
