Metrology library:

The metrology library is supplied as a binary file. This file is included in the package containing the Demo Meter Application firmware, which can be downloaded from the Microchip website. Before starting the evaluation of the Microchip metering solution, check if a newer version was released.

Documentation:

The following documents are provided:

• “Microchip PIC32CXMTx Metrology User Guide”. It covers the following topics:
  • Metrology library configuration: current and voltage conversion factors, swell and sag thresholds, pulses configuration, creep thresholds, etc.
  • Calibration: The metrology library calibration flow is explained, including the needed formulas.
  • Additional functionalities: the metrology library provides special functions which make it more powerful. Some of these functions are the waveform capture and the harmonic analysis.
• “Microchip PIC32CXMTx Metrology Data Sheet”. It offers a complete description of the metrology registers and explains the interface between the metrology library, running in Core 1, and the user application, running in Core 0.
