3 Setting Up the Bluetooth Low Energy Sniffer

This chapter provides details on how to set up the Bluetooth Low Energy Sniffer. The Bluetooth LE Air Sniffer USB dongle comes pre-programmed with the Sniffer firmware. The user needs to install Wireshark to record and analyze the data detected by the Bluetooth Low Energy Sniffer. The Microchip_BLE_Sniffer_Package.zip software contains the capture plugin for Wireshark.
