2.1.3 Timer Counter B
The Timer Counter B (TCB) peripheral is chosen over the Timer Counter A (TCA) as it has a lower power consumption. The peripheral is configured in 8-bit PWM mode with a duty cycle of 50%, and the output is filtered through an RC-filter, shaping the signal so that the comparator can use the resulting triangle wave to generate the PWM signal. The frequency of the waveform generated by this peripheral will set the switching frequency, fSW, of the controller.
