2.1 Group 1
Group 1 of the I3C target CTS focuses on testing I3C bus operation. These tests cover features such as the target’s ability to accurately handle start and stop conditions, required CCCs, and the parity bit.
| Test | Description | Silicon Revision Result | Comments | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| B2 | C0 | ||||
| T-2.1.1 | Bus Condition Timing | Tests the timing between Start and Stop conditions | Pass | Pass | |
| T-2.1.2 | I3C Bus Start | Verifies that the target can detect the correct Start condition | Pass | Pass | |
| T-2.1.3 | I3C Bus Repeated Start | Verifies that the target can respond correctly to repeated Start and operate correctly when receiving a misaligned Start condition | Pass | Pass | |
| T-2.1.4 | I3C Bus Stop | Verifies that the target can detect a correct Stop condition | Partial Pass | Pass | On B2 silicon, DUT incorrectly ACKs repeated Start
followed by 7’h7E/W. See Appendix
1. |
| T-2.1.5 | I3C Bus ACK/NACK Behavior | Verifies that the target can send correct ACK/NACK responses according to Handover/Takeover rules | Pass | Pass | |
| T-2.1.6 | I3C Bus Transition Bit (T-Bit) | Verifies that the target can detect and send the correct T-bit | Pass | Pass | |
| T-2.1.7 | I3C Bus Parity Bit | Verifies that the target can detect parity errors | Pass | Pass | |
| T-2.1.8 | I3C Controller Clock Stalling Tolerance | Verifies that the target can operate correctly if the Controller stalls the clock | Pass | Pass | |
| T-2.1.9 | Target Address Header Frame | Verifies that the target can correctly handle the response to Address Headers after Start or Repeated Start | Not Pass | Pass | On B2 silicon, DUT cannot recover from TE0 error. See Appendix 2. |
| T-2.1.10 | Target Dynamic Address Assignment | Verifies that the target can correctly implement Dynamic Address Assignment (DAA) | Not Pass | Pass | On B2 silicon, DUT incorrectly ACKs repeated Start
followed by 7’h7E/W. See Appendix
1. |
| T-2.1.11 | Target Read/Write Frame | Verifies basic read/write functionality, detection of RnW bit, proper handover, and proper communication termination | Pass | Pass | |
| T-2.1.12 | Target Enter HDR Detection | Verifies that the target can detect the Enter HDR command and respond accordingly | Pass | Pass | |
| T-2.1.13 | Target HDR Exit Pattern Detection | Verifies that the target can detect the HDR Exit Pattern and respond accordingly | Pass | Pass | |
| T-2.1.14 | Target HDR Tolerance | Tests that there is no interference on the bus caused by the target during HDR mode | Pass | Pass | |
| T-2.1.15 | Target HDR Restart Pattern Tolerance | Tests that the target can handle HDR Restart Pattern | Pass | Pass | |
