2.1 Placement and Routing Guidelines
To achieve the best RF performance, follow the recommendations as listed:
- The board must have a solid ground plane. The center ground pad of the device must be firmly connected to the ground plane by using Vias.
- Keep large metal objects away from the on-board antenna to avoid electromagnetic field blocking.
- Do not shield the antenna by any metal objects.
- Position the board components in a noise-free environment and keep it far away from high-frequency clock signals. For better performance, shield those components. Any noise radiated from the main board in this frequency band degrades the sensitivity of the system.
