1.1 Clock Frequency Test

Test Name: Clock Frequency Test.

Purpose of test: Detect unexpected deviations in system clock frequency.

Acceptable Measure (Annex. H): Time-slot monitoring of the program sequence (H.2.18.10.4)

Description: This diagnostic test checks the stability and reliability oscillation at the expected clock frequency with reference to H.2.18.10.4. The test monitors the frequency of a Timer/Counter (TC) using the Real Time Counter (RTC) module using PIT as a time reference. Note that the TC has the same clock domain as the CPU.
