6 Migrating MRF24Wx to ATWINC15x0 using Harmony Framework

This section describes how to migrate from the MRF24WX module to the ATWINC15x0 module for the user who has the Wi-Fi solution in Harmony framework. The user needs to use the Microchip MPLAB Harmony configuration (MHC) for seamless migration.

  1. The user must disconnect the SPI bus, Reset, Chip enable and interrupt lines from the MCU to MRF24WN, then connect the same lines to the ATWINC15x0 module.
  2. Configure the MRF24Wx and ATWINC15x0 module to be compatible with the ATWINC15x0 software (see Configuring MRF24Wx and Configuring ATWINC15x0).
    Note: The user does not need to perform the application or driver changes manually.
