2 Getting Started with PIC32WM-BW1 Curiosity Board
The PIC32WM-BW1 Curiosity Board is a versatile and modular development platform designed for rapid prototyping. It showcases the features, capabilities, and interfaces of Microchip’s PIC32WM-BW1 Module, which supports Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) and Wi-Fi® coexistence through Packet Traffic Arbitration (PTA).
The PIC32WM-BW1 Curiosity Board:
- Offers integrated programming/debugging features using the PICkit™ On-Board 4 (PKOB4) debugger interface.
- Requires only a USB Type-C™ cable to power-up, program, and debug the PIC32WM-BW1002UC Module.
- Includes a mikroBUS™ Click™ header, which helps the users to expand the functionalities by connecting to various MikroElektronika mikroBUS Click adapter boards.
- Enables rapid prototyping by utilizing the PIC32WM-BW1002UC Wi-Fi® Bluetooth® Low Energy Combo MCU Module with separate antennas for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy.
- Two Xplained PRO (XPRO) headers for connecting various XPRO boards and for accessing the available General-Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) for customer use.
The PIC32WM-BW1 Curiosity Board is designed to support a wide
range of applications in market segments, including:
-
Smart Home/Consumer Internet of Things (IoT)
-
Industrial IoT (IIoT)
-
Wearables and Health Devices
-
Security and Access Control
