3.2 Flash Protection Regions

The dsPIC33A has a set of configuration bits and registers that combine to form a feature called Flash protection regions, which provide a way for a user to control the permissions of different ranges of Flash memory. This gives the system designer control of when areas of Flash memory are allowed to be read, written or executed.

Areas of Flash outside of any Flash region definition have no read, write or execution restrictions.
