Introduction

Large-scale wireless infrastructure faces a fundamental challenge: devices must communicate reliably across extended areas, through obstacles, and in interference-rich environments. Traditional approaches, such as increasing transmission power or relying on centralized access points, reach their limits in complex multi-room or multi-floor deployments.

These challenges can be effectively addressed using mesh topology and a sector-based large-node network architecture. Whether the application employs Thread®, Bluetooth® LE, or proprietary wireless protocols, the principles of multi-hop communication, sector-based deployment, and intelligent power management remain consistent and effective. This document draws on validated real-world deployments in offices, warehouses, and industrial facilities to provide practical guidance for engineers and system architects.
