3.1 Setting the Client Device into OFF Mode
It is possible to put the Microchip device into the OFF mode. In the OFF mode, the MISO pin is not active and remains in a high-impedance state. This mode can only be applied when there are no pending tasks for the transceiver/receiver. If the device needs to remain responsive to incoming messages while the host needs to communicate with the second SPI client, this approach cannot be used. In certain cases, the communication can be scheduled. It is recommended to discuss the implementation of the application with the technical support team.
