Open a serial terminal for the remote device. The purpose is to provide approval upon reception of the firmware update request from the central device.
The serial terminal application considered here is Docklight Scripting app. The advantage of this application is that the user can predefine and save a command. Figure 8-19. Serial Terminal COM Port and Baud Rate Selection View
In the Docklight Scripting V2.3 (Eval) tool, perform the following steps:
Under Communication Mode, from the “Send/Receive on Comm. Channel” drop-down list, select the appropriate COM port. For example, select COM53.
Under COM Port Settings, from the “Baud Rate” drop-down list, select the appropriate baud rate. For example, select 115200.
Reset the board to make it ready for the firmware update.
