6.1.2 Host Platforms That Require Modifications to be Connected to the Xplained Pro Connector

It is necessary to make the following changes in the SAM4CMS-DB or SAM4CMP-DB to ensure the correct communication between the SAM4CMS-DB/SAM4CMP-DB and the PL460-EK:

  • Remove the R346 and R355 resistors. These resistors are placed near the Xplained Pro connector (J13). Now, the ports are exclusive to the JTAG.
  • Join the pin 5 of the Xplained Pro connector (J13) with the pin 2 of the connector J10. Therefore, PL460_NRST is controlled with the PA28 port.
  • Join the pin 9 of the Xplained Pro connector (J13) with the pin 1 of the connector J10. Therefore, PL460_EXTIN is controlled with the PA26 port.

  • Join the pins 4 and 12 of the Xplained Pro connector (J13). Therefore, PL460_TXEN is controlled with the PA25 port.

Besides, it is necessary to make the following changes in the SAM4CMS-DB or SAM4CMP-DB to support the PVDD Monitor:

  • Join the pin 3 of the Xplained Pro connector (J13) with the pin 8 of the same connector (J13), or with the pin 8 of the connector J12. Therefore, the PL460_PVDD_Monitor is controlled with the PB13 port.
  • Join the pin 6 of the Xplained Pro connector (J13) with the pin 3 of the connector J10. Therefore, the PL460_ENABLE is controlled with the PA27 port.

In addition, it is necessary to make the following changes in the SAM4CMS-DB or SAM4CMP-DB to support the Thermal Monitor:

  • Join the pin 10 of Xplained Pro connector (J13) with the pin 15 of the connector J12. Therefore, the PL460_NTHW0 is controlled with the PA22 port.
