22.5.5 Register Write Protection

To prevent any single software error from corrupting DBGU behavior, certain registers in the address space can be write-protected by setting the WPEN bit in the DBGU Write Protection Mode Register.

The following registers can be write-protected:

  • DBGU Mode Register
  • DBGU Baud Rate Generator Register
  • DBGU Receiver Timeout Register
  • Debug Unit Force NTRST Register
