5.3 Phase-Shifted Full-Bridge

The primary Phase-Shifted Full-Bridge uses Microchip’s 1200V, 80 mΩ SiC MOSFET (MSC080SMA120SA) in the TO263 7-lead package with a source sense. This MOSFET is a bottom cooled package, therefore, the heat loss produced must be efficiently taken out of this package through the PCB with copper embeds. This provides a direct thermal interface to the baseplate, which acts as the main heat sink.
