1.2 SleepWalking Support in Microchip Cortex-M Processor-Based MCUs
In MCUs, such as the PIC32CM PL10 family, which is based on the Arm Cortex-M0+ processor, and the PIC32CM SG00/GC00 family, which is based on the Arm Cortex-M23 processor, the SleepWalking feature is supported by certain peripherals that use the on-demand clocking principle for their clock sources.
For example, on the PIC32CM PL10 MCUs, the following peripherals support the SleepWalking feature:
- Analog Comparators (AC)
- Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC)
- Configurable Custom Logic (CCL)
- Direct Memory Access Controller (DMAC)
- Event System (EVSYS)
- External Interrupt Controller (EIC)
- Peripheral Touch Controller (PTC)
- Real-Time Counter (RTC)
- SERCOMs (USART, SPI, I²C)
- Timer/Counter (TC)
- Timer/Counter for Control Applications (TCC)
Attention: Not all peripheral events support SleepWalking on
all of Microchip Cortex-M processor-based MCUs. Peripheral event support for SleepWalking
varies by device and event type. It is essential to consult the Event System sections of the
relevant data sheets to verify compatibility for a given application.
