4.1 Frequency Offset Compensation

The frequency offset calculations are used for compensating the frequency offset between a transmitter and a receiver. For more details on the frequency offset calculation, refer to the ATA8352 Impulse-Radio Ultra-Wideband (IR-UWB) Transceiver User’s Guide (DS50003125). This requires at least one data transfer using the TXo and RXo or VRo and PRo or VRSo and PRso modes between the two devices in use. In these modes, an additional postamble is transferred to allow the compensation of the frequency offset at the receiver RXo or VRo by adjusting the RX Frequency Locked Loop (FLL) .
