3 Booting from a NAND Flash Memory with a SAM9X60 or a SAM9X7 Series MPU

The boot sequence for a SAM9X60 or SAM9X7 microprocessor is designed to require minimal initialization of the system and then either load the bootstrap (second-stage bootloader) or switch to the ROM code monitor if no valid boot code pattern is detected in any of the boot media listed in the boot configuration packet. The device’s ROM bootloader (ROM code) handles this sequence autonomously.
