4.5 Get Device Support for MPLAB® X IDE

Use the MPLAB Pack Manager, found under Tools > Packs, to add support for new devices in MPLAB X.

For the AVR® LA family, update to the latest version by following these steps.

1. Click Check for Updates.
2. Select the latest available version of the AVR LA series (Microchip AVR Lx Series Device Support).
3. Click Install.

For offline installers, go to packs.download.microchip.com. Double-click the installer file and follow the instructions to install the package. Any open MPLAB X window must be closed for the installation to take effect.
