47.3 Key Generation

The PUF generates a 256-bit intrinsic key based on the power-up state of the integrated SRAM. The intrinsic key is then used to generate derivative keys that can optionally be driven on the puf_key output which is directly connected to the Hardware Security Module Lite (HSM-Lite).

When the Secure Output (SO) is the key destination, the keys are driven out on the puf_key output. In this case keys are not visible to the CPU or debugger.
